Why make a site dedicated to the "blasian" experience? At least in the United States, Black-Asian relations tend to be chillier than either Black-Latino or Latino-Asian relationships. Although prejudice between Blacks and Latinos or Latinos and Asians certainly exists, Black-Latino and Latino-Asian marriages are not rare in locations such as Florida or California. Asian families are more likely to accept Latin American sons- or daughters-in-law of mestizo or indigenous descent than they are to accept Black sons- or daughters-in-law. Similarly, non-Latinos of African descent generally encounter less disapproval from their partner's community when dating Latinos as compared to when dating Asians. So we saw the need for a site to show solidarity with the 'least encouraged' interracial couples.
