P, a Korean man with Master's Degree in Engineering was known to say things like "I thought all Indians are ugly and dirty but I did see a cute Indian girl before."
On another occasion, he was heard commenting on Middle Eastern co-workers' animated conversations: " Don't you think East Asian culture is superior to Middle Eastern culture? The Middle Eastern people's display of emotion is weakness."
He seemed to have the regular habit of putting down non-Koreans, particularly non-whites, while praising his own culture. Does he not realize that if his goal is to get people to think highly of Koreans, his insecure way of insulting others to puff up his 'people' (or rather, an imagined extenstion of his ego) is very likely to have the opposite effect?
