It is not everyday that we see the scenery, wildlife and people of Africa rendered in the style of Chinese brush painting. But Chew Choon, an award-winning wildlife aritst, has published an artbook of Chinese-style paintings based on his many trips to East Africa and South Africa. The book, titled "My Africa", captures the majesty of Africa's scenery and the spirit of the region's wildlife in the energetic brushwork and subtle washes of Chinese ink and watercolors.
Chew, Singapore-based artist of ethnic Chinese descent, considers Africa his other home. His work has been shown at the Whaletail International Wildlife Exhibition in Kenya. For more on Chew Choon and his work, see:
