| Three Gorges Dam project forces relocation of more than 1 million people |

Sullivan, associate professor of political science at Adelphi University in Garden City, Long Island, the massive project not only requires inundation of some of China's most famous scenic and archeological sites, but the relocation of huge numbers of people, with estimates ranging from 700,000 to 1.98 million. In Fengjie, many of the Chinese being forced from their homes by the project told CNN they're happy to cooperate with the government and move elsewhere, but Dai insists there is widespread opposition...
